  1. Hi Madelyn! I really like your self portraits!

For your environmental image I see it and it makes me think which is awesome. It makess me wonder what you're doing, why and if you're okay. I personally ran into this issue with having a low f stop and having only part of my picture in focus and I see that in this image. I wish the box (i think the machine is for checking blood presssure, so that box) was more in focus. I think your environment could be more clear about what you are trying to portray (a different POV might help). If you're trying to show a messy bed as if this is a normal thing, that is cool but it is not clear enough, it just looks like you didn't clean up your frame. The asymetrical nature of this image is really nice and the position you're sitting in seems so natural and comfortable it looks really good.

Your symbolic image has really nice lines with the shaddows on the wall, mirror, window and table. Especailly the reflected shaddow in the mirror. The POV is very nice because of that. My only critique is that I find the things on your table distracting, it draws the focus away from you.

For your last image I think the coolest thing you could do would be to play with lighting more. I can see the light on the right side of your face but it could be cool to accentuate that more. Also I would watch your background in this image, a door frame is visible and I either wish the background was blurred enough that it wasn't noticable or that you centered yourself on the wall. I like that you are the center of the image though, it very musch feels like you are documenting yourself at this time, especially when everyone has to wear masks.
